Since the coronavirus cases are increasing in India, the fans are not really sure whether the IPL will take place in India. Meanwhile, as per the reports, the BCCI is planning to host the upcoming season in Maharastra itself.

It is certain that staging the next edition won’t be that easy considering the spike in cases in India. As a result, BCCI will have to come with proper options in place in an attempt to host the tournament.

Moreover, in a real-time situation, it is practically not possible to travel from one venue to the other. Perhaps, this is the reason why BCCI is reportedly planning to stage the entire season in Maharashtra.

The report further added that BCCI will prioritize staging the tournament in Maharashtra. In case it doesn’t go as per the plan, then the tournament will be staged in the United Arab Emirates, the report added.

As things stand, the BCCI are currently keeping a tab on the ongoing crisis and will make a move accordingly. Earlier, BCCI staged the last two seasons of the Indian Premier League in the UAE.

For the unversed, the BCCI hosted the entire 13th edition in the UAE. On the other hand, the first leg of the IPL 2021 took place in India. Later on, the second leg kicked off in the UAE due to the second wave in India.
