    The bookies always know right?

Well, Tottenham, with six wins from their last seven games in all competitions, are closest to leaders Liverpool at six points shy.

But they are still a distant third in the betting – generally available at 8-1, compared to Liverpool (8-11) and Manchester City (7-4).

Harry Kane’s lot will be attempting to turn those odds around and turn up the heat ahead of Liverpool’s tea-time clash with Arsenal as they take on Wolves in a 15:00 GMT kick-off.

Today is the first part of a titanic relegation double header for the Terriers with a home match against Burnley to follow on Wednesday 2 January.

Boss David Wagner admitted earlier this week that the prospect of relegation is always on his mind.

“It is never out of my head. Sometimes it is at the front, other times the back, but it is always with you,” he said.

Which may be why we have not had a repeat of last year’s epic Wagner family Christmas video.

    A shame.

Davey used to work at Dortmund, forwards been on strike,

He’s down on his luck, it’s tough, so tough.

Nineteen games gone and we are halfway there in the 2018-19 Premier League season.

Bottom side Huddersfield, with just 12 goals so far, are the team living on the skinniest of prayers.

Today, they take on Fulham, directly above them in 19th, in a down-dirty dogfight.

    Seconds out at 15:00 GMT.
