Manchester City striker Nikita Parris – the Women’s Super League’s all-time top goalscorer – makes her 100th WSL appearance today after being named in the hosts’ starting line-up.
Parris (pictured above) scored both goals as City beat Chelsea 2-0 in the League Cup semi-final on Wednesday night – and unsurprisingly keeps her place as manager Nick Cushing sticks to the same starting line-up.
Chelsea made a few changes for that cup clash and they restore five players to their starting XI for today’s game as Hannah Blundell, Jonna Andersson, Sophie Ingle, Karen Carney and Drew Spence all return.
Man City XI: Bardsley, Stokes, Beattie, Houghton, Bonner, Walsh, Scott, Weir, Wullaert, Stanway, Parris.
Subs: Roebuck, Morgan, Campbell, Emslie, Hemp, Bremer, Beckie.
Chelsea XI: Lindahl, Blundell, Bright, Eriksson, Andersson, Spence, Ingle, Cuthbert, Ji, Carney, England.
Subs: Berger, Asante, Carter, Riley, Cooper, Bachmann, Kirby.
